Covid-19 disruption has no impact on our plans regarding CSBXL20

Last week brought great news about CYBERSEC speakers – we welcomed on board Mircea Geoană (Deputy Secretary General, NATO) and Marco-Alexander Breit (Head, Artificial Intelligence Task Force, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy). We cannot wait to listen to their valuable insights in Brussels!

Also, because some of you might be worried, we would like to share with you our position on COVID-19 ⬇️

As CYBERSEC Team, we had thought and hoped that the only challenge we would face on 24th March during the CYBERSEC Brussels Leaders’ Foresight 2020 would be a digital one, and revolve around securing the European digital DNA and shaping Europe’s digital future.

Unfortunately, mother nature has decided otherwise and Covid-19 causes the disruption to everyday life. But, to our CYBERSEC Community, we’d like to say that we are full aware of the problem and we keep our faith that everything will go according to plan and we will meet on 24th March in Brussels.

First of all, we would like to inform you that CYBERSEC event is currently maintained. We take the health and safety of our guests very seriously and are closely monitoring guidance of the World Health Organization, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control and the Belgian authorities concerning COVID-19. We will of course follow all top-down restrictions once they appear. In case of restrictions, for instance official banning of events gathering more than 100 attendees we will have to limit the CYBERSEC audience. We will keep you informed.

And last but not least, we strongly believe that it will be possible to hold the CYBERSEC Brussels 2020 conference in real world. In any case, we will do our best to reach out to you digitally in a form of the biggest virtual cybersecurity conference!

Once again: we will keep you informed! Let’s secure the European digital DNA together!
