Cezary heads the Cyber Defence and Threat Management function and is a member of Cyber Security Services global leadership team for Standard Chartered Bank. He’s responsible for IT infrastructure and network security, malware protection, security monitoring and analytics as well as security operations centre with 24/7/365 coverage at a leading international bank operating in 60 markets. Based in Warsaw, he leads a team of experts based in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Poland and the UK.
Cezary joined Standard Chartered in January 2019. Prior to starting in his current role in March 2020, he successfully built Malware Protection function within the bank’s global Security Technology Services and led the Technology & Innovation competence centre, which is part the bank’s Warsaw-based Global Business Services entity. His earlier professional experience includes the role of Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Bank Millennium and leading transformational security projects for clients in Central Europe and beyond at Deloitte.
He has 15 years of professional experience in such areas as security management, technology security, forensic and antifraud. He is a frequent speaker on Polish and European security conferences and has served on several domestic and international program and advisory boards. As a member of McAfee Global Security Council he delivered strategy-focused advisory to McAfee’s Executive Committee. Cezary is a co-creator and lead lecturer of “Information Security Management” – largest postgraduate program for security professionals run by the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. He graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada and Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
