Prabhat Agarwal is currently Acting Head of Unit of the Online Platforms and e-Commerce Unit in DG Connect, where he leads the preparatory work on the Digital Services Act. He holds a PhD in Physics from Cambridge University, and worked in industrial R&D in the field of semiconductor technologies prior to joining the European Commission in 2007. At the Commission, he has held a variety of different roles spanning research, innovation, and regulation mainly in the digital field.
